An opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic team of professionals at a fast growing privately owned software business systems company. Expand Pty Ltd. is a thriving and well respected organisation and because of its growth now requires the services of an Database Developer / Report Designer.

This role is primarily responsible for:

• Setting up and maintaining database environments.
• Creating and maintaining normalised data models for logical and physical models, including database replication .
• Advising development team on -best practice- database coding .
  Assisting development team with data cleansing, migration and loading .
• Supporting development team with reviewing, building, testing and maintaining database structures .
• Creation and maintenance of SQL scripts (stored procedures, views and triggers) .
• Working with the Production DBAs to identify and tune poor running SQL queries .
• Designing and creating reports in SQL reporting services, Crystal reports knowledge is desirable.

The ideal candidate will have relevant commercial experience within a similar role, good people skills, a strong background in database development projects and a flair for SQL tuning. As this role will work exclusively with SQL Server, in depth knowledge and skills with MS SQL Server 2000/2005 are essential. 

 

Duties may include:

• Development of database and software solutions using .NET, ASP, SQL Server and other appropriate software tools
• Development of software to be delivered in a specific timeframe
• Working closely with our BA’s in the preparation of Technical Specifications based on provided Functional Specifications related to website or software development
• Provide leadership within a team of developers in code design and structure
• Working closely with the Project Manager in ensuring that project milestones / budgets are achieved
• Assisting, where possible, in expanding and developing the business
• Experience with either Microsoft CRM, Project Server or SharePoint will be highly regarded
